Norton LifeLock Launches New Consumer Cyber Safety Ad Campaign Featuring Angie Harmon and Jay Leno

Award-winning TV star Angie Harmon shares her passion for helping consumers protect their devices, online privacy and identity

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--()--Norton™ LifeLock™, Symantec’s (NASDAQ: SYMC) consumer brand, today announced the launch of a new ad campaign featuring Norton LifeLock members, including award-winning television actor Angie Harmon and iconic talk show host and star of “Jay’s Garage,” Jay Leno.

The campaign, now airing on national cable and local broadcast, showcases how NEW Norton™ 360 with LifeLock,™ an all-in-one membership for consumer cyber safety from Norton LifeLock, combines the power of LifeLock identity theft protection, Norton cyber security technology, a VPN for online privacy, and more, to help protect against today’s ever-changing cyber threats. Throughout the ad campaign, Angie helps educate viewers on cyber threats and identity theft risks, and shares why she’s a Norton LifeLock Member, while Jay shares his story as a victim of attempted identity theft and learns how easily personal devices can be hacked through a demonstration by white hat hacker and cyber security expert, Jim Stickley.

“Technology has evolved, and so have the criminals,” says Angie Harmon in the new infomercial. She also shares that “with all the things that can happen these days, I like the idea of having someone I can count on. Someone who’s in my corner with the expertise and the protection I need.”

The ad campaign rollout will consist of a nearly half-hour infomercial, as well as a 5-minute infomercial, in addition to 2-minute and 60-second spots, airing on 125 national channels and local broadcast networks. The new ads also include identity theft and cybercrime victims who share their personal experiences.

“In today’s modern world, our information is not only used by us, but also shared with the companies we engage with in order to provide us all the benefits of being part of a connected world,” said Samir Kapuria, executive vice president and general manager, Consumer Cyber Safety, Symantec. “That creates two surface areas in which attackers or criminals can disrupt our lives by stealing our identity or personal information. With the expanding threats they can bring, people need a cyber safety partner. NEW Norton 360 is designed to be that partner, helping people with their digital security, online privacy and identity theft protection.”
